The FGIC is a group of young italo-Canadians that strongly believe in knowing and understanding our roots and where we come from in order for future generations to understand the importance of our history, our culture, our traditions, our language and our customs that Italians have exported to the rest of the world.  The FGIC would be our common link, for those in school and also the young adults, which have commenced their careers, but still want a link to the community.  Since our first meeting in January of 2006 we have had articles published in Corriere Canadese and our elected body has held a number of meetings and will be holding many more meetings in which all young Italian Canadians are encouraged to express their ideas and thoughts on the promotion of Italian language and culture.  The FGIC has and will continue to be actively involved with various cultural events and more in the Italian Community.  The youth of the FGIC are very proud to live our present in Canada looking forward to our future and learning from our past.
